SINGAPORE
THE LITTLE RED DOT WITH A BIG STORY
For a small place Singapore sure is really big... That may sound funny but its true. Gone are the days when the Lion City was just a 1-2 day stopover before continuing your journey into Asia. Today's modern Singapore has come of age and grown into one of the crown Jewels of the asian world.
Today you may want to consider spending at least 6-8 days in this beautiful country. In fact you could spend a few weeks or more, and explore exciting new places every day! I personally have over 2500 locations marked on my Google maps, so if at all possible spend as many days as you can in Singapore. Trust me, you won’t regret it…
Many of Singapore's neighborhoods have incredible tourist sections with tonnes of activities, great shopping, food & fun.
However, I encourage you to explore these neighborhoods further and take the path less traveled as each one has more for you to discover.
In our blogs you'll find tips and advice for discovering & photographing this beautiful city, plus lots of great information to help you on your journey experiencing the many diverse cultures that make Singapore unique in Asia.
If it's your first time visiting Singapore your knowledge of the lion city may only be what you've seen and read in the media. Most of us have seen photos of the beautiful Marina Bay Skyline, Clark & Boat Quay, Orchard Road shopping malls and Sentosa island with the Universal Studios theme Park.
To be sure these are beautiful and exciting places and you don't want to miss out on the incredible experiences, along with the opportunity to create stunning photos.... They are the foundation of your Singapore Story.
At Singapore Street Shots we want you to know there is much more to the lion city than the tourist areas, so after you've explored Singapore’s well known neighborhoods like Chinatown, Little India, and Kampong Glam, take some time to get off the beaten path and discover the incredible neighborhoods outside the tourist sections. Plan a day trip to Ang Mo Kio, Sengkang, Punggol, Bukit Panjang or Pasir Ris and more to truly discover the color & cultural of the city.
It's here when visiting the neighborhood Markets & Shops and dining on local cuisine at the Hawkers, that you will discover and learn about the daily lives of the Singaporean people. If you have a desire to experience more of Singapore and tell a better story with your pictures, you'll have to get off the beaten path and dive into the busy streets of this fascinating country.
